Production/Inventory Control Assistant

Purpose: To provide support/assistance to management for the daily functions of the department.
Responsibilities:
- Data-entry of production time slips.
- Train employees on proper documentation on production related paperwork (time slips).
- Enter Customer orders.
- Communicate with customer regarding orders. (After verification with production supervisor.)
- Run open Customer PO report. Verify that jobs are created, material is ordered.
- Communicate with production manager regarding timelines, past due orders, shortages.
- Run potential job orders report. Highlight and communicate concerns with production supervisor.
- Organize jobs created by gauge, operations. Ensure that all documentation is attached to job order before it goes to the floor.
- Inspect product through database system.
- Provide support and assistance to shipping department.
- Monitor inventory levels of hardware – bolts, pems, etc.
- Roaming floor inspections of employee’s paperwork as it relates to the parts/jobs being produced.
Required Skills:
- Strong communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Good organizational skills.
- Knowledge of processes within production environment.
- Read and understand bill of materials with multi-levels.
- Microsoft Office Experience
- Experience in manufacturing/job shop.
Reports to: Production Supervisor
Hours: Full Time, 40 hours/week.
