Production/Inventory Control Assistant

Purpose: To provide support/assistance to management for the daily functions of the department.

Responsibilities:
 

  • Data-entry of production time slips.
  • Train employees on proper documentation on production related paperwork (time slips).
  • Enter Customer orders.
  • Communicate with customer regarding orders. (After verification with production supervisor.)
  • Run open Customer PO report. Verify that jobs are created, material is ordered.
  • Communicate with production manager regarding timelines, past due orders, shortages.
  • Run potential job orders report. Highlight and communicate concerns with production supervisor.
  • Organize jobs created by gauge, operations. Ensure that all documentation is attached to job order before it goes to the floor.
  • Inspect product through database system.
  • Provide support and assistance to shipping department.
  • Monitor inventory levels of hardware – bolts, pems, etc.
  • Roaming floor inspections of employee’s paperwork as it relates to the parts/jobs being produced.


Required Skills:
 

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of processes within production environment.
  • Read and understand bill of materials with multi-levels.
  • Microsoft Office Experience
  • Experience in manufacturing/job shop.



Reports to: Production Supervisor

Hours: Full Time, 40 hours/week.
