A new position with an exciting international biochemical company has just come available. This great opportunity is located in Torrance, CA. Here are the details: Experienced and entry-level candidates with appropriate educational background are welcome to apply. This full-time position will pay a starting base annual salary in the range of $35 - 60K plus individual performance bonus, team incentive pay and company-wide bonus program. A pre-employment drug testing and background screening is a required part of the hiring process. JOB FUNCTION: The Sales Representative (inside) will be responsible for selling the company's products and services by contacting prospective and established customers. The Sales Representative (inside) will follow up on leads and establish close customer contacts to promote the company's products to select accounts as designated by Sales Management. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Contact prospective customers to uncover sales leads and pursue to completion. Maintain sales program within assigned territory to meet Sales Budget. Sell company's products and services by calling prospective and established customers. Provide information to customers as it pertains to available services, prices and new products. Distill customer requirements and qualify project leads before presenting to operational functions. Present applicable company capabilities as benefits to prospective customers. Meet established company sales quota by obtaining and renewing orders. Monitor competitive activity and trends within the established territory. Prepare quotes or forward as required. Research marketing leads and follow-up. Act as liaison between customer contacts and operations personnel. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Increase quote requests and sales. Gather and communicate relevant market information to Sales Management. Ensure that quotes are submitted in a timely manner. Follow up on customer concerns and requests for information and new customer opportunities. Reports to: Director, Product Services Department: Product Services REQUIREMENTS: Ideally, you will have a minimum 2 years + in customer service or sales and a minimum of a B.S. in science. Experience in pharmaceutical or fine chemical sales preferred. Excellent computer skills - Word, Excel, Access & Outlook, Access helpful. Excellent communication and phone skills. Positive presentation style. Motivation. Knowledge of company's products. Proactive. Aggressive/Competitive selling techniques. Strong prioritization and organizational skills.
